Our History as a Humanitarian Aid Organisation

Since Dr. Muhammed Tahir ul Qadri founded Minhaj Welfare Foundation in 1989, we have grown to be a leading grassroot humanitarian aid organisation. Every year we are helping more and more people struck with hardship, all with your help.

Dr. Qadri’s father Dr. Fareed ud Din Qadri was from a small very undeveloped city of Pakistan known as Jhung. He was a doctor and a learned scholar of his time. His gift was his immense passion for socio development and revival of social values in marginalised communiteis. His prayers were later to be answered with a blessed child who he would upbring in devotion towards reviving lost human values that harness wellbeing of society at large. Remaining year’s of Dr. Fareed ud Din’s life, teach us a great lesson of devotion towards rigorous early learning and personality development. Such development methods are found embodied in different sciences of the faith of Islam.

Dr. Farid ud Din Qadri left our world in 1974 at the age of 56.

Dr. Qadri was born on 19 February 1951, he was brought up to embody the aspiration his father. Today the world know’s him as Dr. Muhammed Tahir ul Qadri, who founded Minhaj Welfare Foundation in 1989 to help synergise the true impact of reviving shared charitable human values as an Islamic charity.

Dr. Qadri’s philanthropic struggle started to gain nationwide support from diverse communities of Pakistan. Very soon Minhaj Welfare Foundation’s charitable projects were spanning towards all four corners of Pakistan, predominantly serving the deprived communities of a developing nation. Supporters from around the world also started joining the Minhaj Welfare Foundation network and in a very short span of time our humanitarian organisation attained a worldwide standing with a portfolio of projects now serving communities far beyond the boundaries of Pakistan. Today a network of supporters and organisations from around the world partake in one of the most effectively synergised humanitarian movement of our time.

Aims & Objectives Of Our Humanitarian Organisation

Our Education centric approach aims at first overcoming all challenges that prevent one’s access to education. We believe education is the best form of sustainable charity, it helps communities end their cycle of poverty. The core objectives of our humanitarian organisation can be summarised into the following:

Relief

The relief of poverty, sickness, distress and suffering of any persons who are in need irrespective of their nationality, race, ethnic origin and religious beliefs is what our humanitarian organisation is founded upon.

Social Welfare

The advancement of other charitable purposes for the benefit of the public to provide recreational facilities and activities in the interests of social welfare with the objective of providing the conditions of life for those persons in need of such facilities.

Education

Improving Education in marginalised communities, focusing on the following areas:

  • Equal opportunities for all (irrespective of gender) have access to education.
  • Enhancing quality in primary and secondary education.
  • Development of our current Education setup.
  • Placing education at the forefront of our humanitarian organisation

Faith

The advancement of education for the public benefit through faith based teachings or disciplines; and the advancement of faith inspired virtuous impact.
