We’re delighted that you want to fundraise for MWF and help with our life affirming work around the world. You can start from going through our fundraising toolkit and resources.

Fundraising Page

By far the easiest way to fundraise for our cause is to set up an online fundraising page. You can customise it with photos and updates, tell everyone you know and watch your donation total rise! Our preferred online platforms are JustGiving.com or Muslimgiving.org

Go to JustGiving.com or Muslimgiving.org and set up your page.

Email all your friends, family and colleagues with the link to your page. Include examples of how fundraising makes a lasting difference.

Target your most generous supporters first as people tend to donate amounts based on what others have already given.

Post the link to your online fundraising page on social media, and include the link to your online fundraising page on your email signature if you use one.

Publicise your fundraising page details on intranets, workplace/community newsletters or notice boards.

Update your online fundraising page with progress and resend to your contacts.

Personalise the thank you email and ask your supporters to spread the word about your fundraiser to their friends and family.

After the event, update your page with photos and your result, and remind people they can still donate.

You’ve done the hard work in raising the money so now make sure it gets to us! It’s super simple and there’s lots of ways to send in your sponsorship money so just pick the one that is best for you.

Pay in online

You can pay your money in to us directly online or you can make a bank transfer or BACS payment. Just contact our Supporter Care team (you’ll find our details below) and we’ll provide you with a reference number and our account details.

Do nothing

When you use your local Minhaj Welfare JustGiving page, it collects money from your supporters automatically. This takes all the hassle out of collecting your sponsorship and paying in afterwards.

In person

If you’d like to make a donation in person, you can pay in cash and cheques (where applicable) at the bank or any of our local collection points. For a paying in slip (where applicable) that you can use at any branch Bank please contact our Supporter Care team.

By Mail

Cheques (where applicable) made payable to MWF can also be posted to us, visit our contact us page for local postal details

Please make sure you include your name, contact details and details of your event so that we can thank you for your amazing fundraising efforts.

I'd like to fundraise for MWF, how to I start?

We’re delighted you want to fundraise for us. Your amazing efforts will help us to make sure everyone get's an equal chance at life.

There are so many ways you can get involved, just take a look at our events and check out our fundraising ideas for inspiration. If you’re not sure what’s right for you, then email us from our CONTACT US page, and we’ll be in touch to help you find the fundraising activity that’s perfect for you.

I live abroad - how can I donate to you?

You should be able to donate online in our local currency, your card provider or bank may apply additional fee in exchange or banking charges. There are a number of alternative options:

Visit our CONTACT US page and donate to any of our international partners. Call us to make a payment by phone or get details about a bank transfer or email us for advice.
Donate directly to MWF via www.JustGiving.com and search for your local Minhaj Welfare Foundation Page.They accept a range of currencies, and money reaches us securely.

If you are unable to use any of these methods, please send a cheque in our or your local currency to our office. You can get details of our office form our CONTACT US page.

Please note, bank charges may be deducted from your donation when using this method, so the other options are most cost effective for us.

Where should I send a cheque?

Cheques should be made payable to Minhaj Welfare Foundation and sent to us at the mailing address on our CONTACT US page.
Please note, we do not recommend sending cash through the post.

I'd like to fundraise online, how can I do this?

JustGiving.com and MuslimGiving.org are the two most popular sites supporters use to raise money for us. They both have some fantastic features, like the opportunity for you to set up your own fundraising page where you can upload photos and share messages about your event. Supporters who use these sites often raise more money than people just doing their fundraising offline.

Are you fundraising on Facebook?

Thank you! If you choose to use Facebook as a fundraising platform, or in order to complement or top up donations for your event, please note we may not be aware of this fundraising activity.

If you raise money on Facebook and want us to acknowledge this, please get in touch; you can email or send us a private message through Facebook.

What will you do with my details?

We’d like to keep you up to date with our work, so may contact you from time to time by phone, email, text or post to let you know how we can support you and how you can get involved with our team. Your details will be kept securely and only shared with the suppliers or partners who work on our behalf or with us to deliver and improve our services.

We never sell or swap your details with any third parties. If you would prefer us not to use your details in this way, call our Supporter Care Hub or email us. Visit our CONTACT US page for futher details

Will I receive an acknowledgement of my gift?

When you donate online you will receive an email confirmation of your gift almost immediately. If you send us a gift through the post or by paying directly into our bank we will also send confirmation by post, unless you advise us that you don’t need one.

Can I leave you a gift in my will?

Absolutely. We’re delighted to receive donations left to us as legacies, and any gift no matter how large or small makes a difference. Find out more.

Can you use my donation for a specific aspect of your work?

Nearly 95% of our income is from voluntary donations, and this goes to provide our full range of aid work. We plan these projects very carefully to meet the needs of people affected by calamity nationally or worldwide. We review our project plans regularly to make sure we are delivering the best value for money and maximum impact.

For this reason we prefer to use donations to fund whichever of our projects are most in need, but if you would like us to use your gift towards a specific aspect of our work we will comply wherever possible. How will you use my donations?

We rely on donations for 95% of our income, and your money will help us to provide a variety of relief that help make sure everyone has a fair chance at life. Find out more about what we do, or see a detailed breakdown of how we’ve spent our income in our annual reports.

Do you prefer people to make regular gifts rather than one-off donations?

Long-term donations enable us to plan for the future and ensure money is available where it is needed most, so we can be there for as many people in need as possible.

Regular gifts mean a consistent, predictable income so we can plan and budget better, making us more efficient. It’s also more cost effective. More of your money goes to our work as they generate less administration and carry cheaper bank charges.

There are benefits for you too. A regular gift is a hassle-free way to donate, while knowing that you are saving lives.

Make a donation

Is making a credit card donation online secure?

Yes, our website is very secure. If your bank card is enrolled in the 3D Secure scheme (also known as Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode) you will be asked to enter the password you’ve set up with your bank. If it is the first time you’ve used the scheme you will be asked to create a password. These details are stored by your bank and never by MWF.

When you submit one of our online forms, you agree to us recording your details on our database, so we can provide you with the best possible support every time you contact us.

We will also contact you from time to time by phone, email, text or post to keep you up to date with how we can support you and how you can get involved with our team.
